Covid Art 59: What glum look like v what joy looks like

The dour and glum expressions on the faces of the three women in the photograph contrast sharply with the little boy who cannot help but laugh with glee. Also shown is a fragment of a landscape with a tilled fieled with ambiguous black birds? plants? hovering over the field. I’ve appended them to my own drawings, lines like streamers at a New Year’s Eve celebration. Or perhaps the trailing lights we see in the sky after fireworks are launched. Much-loved children experience joy around them and some adults seem to be incapable of that, it seems.
