Covid Art 57: Bali calendar figure on wafer


In the summer of 1987, I studied printmaking in Urbino, Italy. I played around with etchings on copper. One image that I kept was a print with seven rows of four images, each of a cartoon figure exercising. Recently it has reminded me of the Balinesian calendars (that I don’t understand), where mythical figures are all doing something different each day on the calendar. Here, I’ve added one row to a silicon wafer fragment, because, as a proxy for the internet, isn’t that where I would make the connection in 2020? I’d look for an image that validates my thinking.
