Covid Art 48: Posed with Fantasy Landscapes
I referred to this in the previous post: the backgrounds that people selected when they went to a professional photographer’s studio a century ago. Now people take photos everywhere and goof off for the camera – and posterity. Watching a middle aged fart stick out and waggle his tongue for a selfie in the Barcelona Airport was so gross! Who could possibly be attracted to that in 2019 let alone a century later. These at least have style. I’ve added a piece of film although this wasn’t invented until motion pictures. For these photos the photographer used metal plates of some kind. I added a print of an early silicon wafer reject (2001?) as a reminder that photos in albums were all we had before online posting.
