Covid Art 41: Baby care

A 1913 advertisement paired with a family photo of the same time brings up for me the timelessness of baby care. Whether it is the safety of rubber bottle nipples to talcum powder to the efficacy and healthiness of sugar loaded formulas, all of them underscore parents bringing up their babies as safely as possible, in the human or animal kingdom. It is the most vulnerable and tender time in our adult lives, this newfound responsibility of parenting, so wonderful and worrisome at the same time.
