Covid Art 25: Buddha in Never-never land
I lived in Hong Kong for eight years and did business around the S. E. Asia region. On one visit to Thailand, I purchased a standing Buddha, approximately five feet tall. It was a beautiful artwork, with a serene and timeless expression on his face. I loved it for more than two decades and drew it one day, loving all the folds in his dress and the round curls of his hair. But where did he belong? Not in this world surely. So I created a timeless world around him.
